Zetta, Yellow Janders, Old Place

This from Cecil’s book – On Sunday, August 27, 1939, I made a trip from Cincinnati, Ohio on the train with Zetta Johnson H and Charles, her son and Junior B, Mattie Johnson B’s boy, to Flanagan Clark County, Kentucky to visit at Grandpa Johnson’s. (Thomas W. Johnson)
Chuck H, Zetta’s husband, took us to the terminal to catch the train and Bentley did not go with me. I came back that evening. The rest stayed a few days. I believe that was the last time I visited the Old Place.
My brother, Neville, was there helping Bennie cut tobacco. William and his family were living there at that time. They all looked pretty well, even Grandpa, despite his recent illness.
I heard Grandpa telling Grandma that it looked like he was getting yellow janders again. On the following September 19, Grandpa was 90 years old. He died October 8, six weeks after I visited him.
